banana peanut butter kale smoothie

today i'm going to share another smoothie recipe! 
lately i've been obsessed with smoothies, reasons??

1// you can pack a LOT of nutrition into a little cup
2// they are great post-work out "meals" 
3// super easy to take on the go

i have stalked pinterest endlessly for smoothie recipes that are high in protein & nutrients & i think i've found one that i like quite a bit! 
if you're not really a banana person, you may not want to give this one a go - my husband isn't a huge fan of banana & didn't really love it. BUTTT if you do like bananas, give this one a go! 


1 frozen banana (if you don't have a frozen banana, use a fresh one & throw in a handful of ice cubes)
2 kale leaves, break the stems off so you just have the leaf 
about 2 tbsp of peanut butter (sometimes i measure out a small spoonful)
1/3 cup oats 
about 1 cup of almond milk 
(& if you really want to you can add a scoop of your favorite protein powder, i've done this a handful of times)

blend & enjoy!!
